Praise and Prayer
- Praise God for 3 new students – making a total of 11! People keep stopping by to inquire about classes!
- Please pray that God will bring more students! We would like to have 30!
- Praise God that the students have shown interest in the Bible times at the end of each class! God clearly is bringing those whose hearts are prepared to hear!
- Please pray for wisdom for Jennifer, Andy, Lorna & Kasumi who all lead the Bible times for various classes. One lady in the Tues night class is into Numerology and believes Numbers & God all work together to give her wisdom! Pray that we can respond well & communicate clearly in Japanese.
- Please pray that we will be a bright light for Christ in the community!
- Praise God for leading us to a great apartment 5 min. drive from the Center – 15 min. walk, 8 min. bike ride!! This is a huge answer to prayer! God has brought it all together sooner than we expected. We are extremely thankful as the days were getting quite long with the commute.
- Praise God for clear leading regarding our Scrapbooking classes. We are not able to advertize, but by word of mouth, we hope to use scrapbooking classes to reach people for Christ.
- Please pray that God will draw people to the classes we are doing on Wednesdays & 1 Saturday a month.
- Please pray for our Coffee & Chat outreach the first Friday of each month . On Oct 3 we will have a special concert with a Gospel singer. Pray that God will use this to build relationships & make contacts in the community while we drink coffee & chat in English.
- Praise God for better health! Lorna's wrist is healing nicely and the pain is finally subsiding. She gets the splint off on Thurs. Sept 11. My dad's birthday. He will be 90. Pray for him as well.
- Praise God that the House church plans are coming along. We will start on Sept 21. We have 2 interested people. Please pray for this important beginning.
- Please pray that this will be a good time of networking, learning and understanding God’s plan for the Friendship Center. Please continue to pray that we will know when & how God wants us to begin the House Church phase or our 3 prong plan.
- Praise God for the spiritual growth of the Itoshima EFC church members.
- Please pray that God will bring more people to Himself and build up the church in Maebaru. Please continue to pray for Bob & Joan Verme & Kie Hyodo as they minister together.
- Praise God for a great team to work with (Jennifer, Motoko & Kasumi).
- Please pray for continued unity and for our future teammates Rob & Jill along with their children (Adam, Rebecca & Taylor) as they raise support to join us for Phase 3 which is the Coffee Shop! They will be coming to Japan next summer we hope!!
